Only Time

It is only a matter of time.

Stalling negotiations. Stopping movement. Managing the conflict.
You see, time is on our side. Soon, everything will be allright.
In time, "facts on the ground" will become mere facts, and the genocide will be remembered.

Just wait. Stop here, don't move.
It is not much longer. Really, it just sounds like a lot. Divide by the number of minutes in a life, divide by the number of people in a country, divide unequally, take into account comparable worth in the global economy, take into account shortened life-span due to lack of clean water, health services, housing.

It is only time. Minutes, hours, years, taken from ordinary people's lives.

Comeon, don't be so impatient. Nobody likes the lines for security checks. Noone enjoys postponing plans, waiting for the curfew to lift, the schools to open, the guns to quiet down, the salaries to be paid, the roads to clear up, the permits to be processed.

Be grateful it is only a matter of time.
Only time, and for you, just one lifetime, not a second more.
